昨年10月に亡くなった、英国BBCの名物DJジョン・ピールのフェイバリット・ソングとして知られる、アンダートーンズの名曲「ティーンエイジ・キックス（Teenage Kicks）」（写真はベスト盤）。その同曲が世に初めて放たれたオリジナル7インチ盤が、1,000枚限定で復刻されることに！

　復刻されるのは、78年にアイルランドのインディーズ・レーベルGood Vibrationsより発表された全4曲入りの7インチ盤。「ティーンエイジ・キックス」に加え、「Smarter Than U」「True Confessions」「Emergency Cases」を収録しています。発売はSanctuary Recordsより4月4日(UK)に予定されています。

　また同日には、その「ティーンエイジ・キックス」をアルバム・タイトルにしたコンピレーション・アルバム『Teenage Kicks』もSanctuary Recordsより発売予定。同コンピ盤には、アンダートーンズをはじめ、ザ・ジャム、ブロンディ、ザ・クラッシュ、エルヴィス・コステロ、ストラングラーズ、ジョイ・ディヴィジョン、バズコックス、セックス・ピストルズ、スペシャルズ、XTC、ダムド、シャム69など、アンダートーンズと同じ時代を駆け抜けた名バンドの楽曲がCD2枚にわたり、全42曲収録される予定です。こちらにもご注目ください。
