ネオアコの名バンド オレンジ・ジュース、6CD+DVDのアンソロジー・ボックスを発売

ネオアコの名バンド オレンジ・ジュース、6CD+DVDのアンソロジー・ボックスを発売
 ネオ・アコースティック・ムーヴメントの先掛けとも言える、スコットランド・グラスゴー出身の名バンド、オレンジ・ジュース(Orange Juice)の軌跡を詰め込んだCD6枚+DVDのボックス・セット『Coals To Newcastle』(写真)が発売に。

 本ボックスのCDには、『キャント・ハイド・ユア・ラヴ・フォーエヴァー』(1982年)をはじめとする歴代の全スタジオ・アルバムのほか、結成初期のシングルなどのアルバム未収録曲も収録。またBBCセッション音源や未発表曲も収められます。

 DVDにはヒット曲「Rip It Up」ほかのビデオ・クリップや、TV番組「The Old Grey Whistle Test」出演時のパフォーマンス映像、コンサート映像などが収められます。

 発売は英Domino Recordsより、英国にて11月8日。彼らの歩みを一気に楽しめるネオアコ・ファン注目のアイテム、アナタもぜひお手元に。

 なお、バンドの中心人物であったエドウィン・コリンズ10月にニュー・アルバムを発表する予定。ロディ・フレイムジョニー・マー、そしてフランツ・フェルディナンドクリブスのメンバーなど豪華アーティストの参加も話題です。

The original master tape for this recording (which was a live cassette bootleg recorded by Malcolm Ross) was unable to be located, so a high-quality recording was taken from one of the original flexi-discs and has been included for anthropological purposes.
