都内を中心に活動する3ピース・ロック・バンド、sassya-が、ニューEP『Songs for』を「3LA -LongLegsLongArms-」より2月28日（水）にリリース。アルバムより楽曲「プール」のミュージック・ビデオとジャケット・ヴィジュアルが公開されています。

　2012年東京にて結成、20代の若者や社会人の抱える日々の鬱憤を硬質な日本語ロックで叩きつけるsassya-は、代表作となった2019年発表の2ndアルバム『脊髄』以降、3rdアルバム『呼吸』、4thアルバム『Not The End』とコンスタンスに作品リリースを重ね支持を拡大。作品毎にその表現と演奏を突き詰めながらも、流れてゆく日々とともに成長する彼らの視点もまた小さな変化を重ねてきました。

　2024年に完成した3曲入りEP『Songs for』は、その小さな変化が大きなウネリを生み出そうとする瞬間を捉えたもの。「君の歌」「プール」「5.4inch」という全3曲は、それぞれが演奏時間6分を超える長尺なドラマ性を持ち、かつて歌われた“鬱憤”や“孤独”といったキーワードではなく、共に生きていく人間や記憶、愛、未来への言葉を投げかけています。何万回も擦られ使い古されてもなお、更新を続ける日本語ロックのエッジとも言える『Songs for』に注目です。

　なおsassya-は、2月11日（日）に、先行レコ発として東京・吉祥寺WARPにてライヴを開催。共演は、昨年12月に同じく「3LA」より5thアルバム『BASTERD NERD PIG』をリリースしたばかりのSPOILMANです。

"Songs for", a three-song album completed in 2024, captures the moment when these small changes are about to create a big wave. The three songs, "Kiminouta" "Pool," and "5.4inch," are each six minutes long, and each has a dramatic quality, and instead of the keywords of "resentment" and "loneliness" that were once sung about, the songs are about people living together, memories, love, and the future.
